From on-site welding and cutting to high-flow, low-pressure applications and robotic welding, the list of where gas mixers can be used in an industrial setting is almost infinite, but here are a few key applications:

In gas metal arc welding (GMAW/MIG), gas mixers can be used to blend argon (Ar) with carbon dioxide (CO₂) or oxygen (O₂) for improved arc stability, penetration and weld appearance.

In flux-cored arc welding (FCAW), argon (Ar) and carbon dioxide (CO₂) mixtures can be used to shield the weld pool and stabilise the arc, enhancing weld properties and reducing spatter.
