FAQ’s

Why don’t I need buffer tanks for the majority of your equipment?

Our gas mixers have been meticulously designed to provide an automatic flow rate tailored precisely to your application. Your process dictates the flow, and our gas mixer matches it perfectly. As a result, there’s no need for a buffer tank after the mixer!

Why does most of your equipment not require an electricity supply?

Originally commissioned by Guinness Ireland in 1990, our blenders were designed with the goal of being able to mix gases in the event of a power outage. Through years of developing and perfecting this design, we’ve achieved accurate gas mixing without the requirement for an electrical supply. The absence of a buffer tank means no solenoids or pressure switches, translating to a system that not only functions, but operates perfectly without electricity!

What gas supply pressure will I need?

The optimal gas supply pressure varies based on your unique circumstances. Generally, we tailor on-site gas mixing to suit the required application. For welding applications, a 4-5 bar g line pressure is often suitable, and achieving an optimal flow of mixed gas for your process may require a supply pressure of around 10 bar g.

Our systems are adaptable, so why not let us know your specific conditions and allow us to tailor a system to your needs?

What gases can I mix?

Our solutions cover a wide range of common industrial gases, including CO2, N2, Ar, O2, H2 & He. Alongside this, we also offer solutions for less common gases as well. Reach out to us today and explore the possibilities for your specific needs!

What happens if I lose a supply gas?

Rest assured, our gas mixers are equipped with a built-in safety interlock that functions independently of power supply. Our pressure mechanical system diligently monitors all gas supplies. If one of the gas supplies is absent, the mixer will cease to pass any gas, ensuring safety and control.

What are the benefits of ownership?

Acquiring a BSL gas mixer brings about an array of remarkable benefits. Right from the start, you won’t typically need a buffer tank or electrical components, saving you costs.

• Installation is simplified, meaning less costs.
• Immediate usability, no set up costs.
• Pressure/ mechanical design ensures no power consumption
• Fixed calibration eliminates the need for costly for yearly re-calibration.
We offer a 5-year plan and warranty. After 5 years, we recommend refurbishing the rubber components inside the systems, and we provide a new warranty. (Rubber naturally deteriorates over time and when exposed to certain gases)

Do you offer gas mixing equipment training?
