FAQ’s

Why do I not need buffer tanks with the majority your equipment?
We deliberately developed a unique range of gas mixers that would supply you automatically with a flow rate range to suit your application.
Your process dictates the flow, one gas mixer matches it. Having done that, it means you do not require a buffer tank after the mixer.

Why do I not need an electricity supply with the majority your equipment?
Having developed a way to mix gases accurately allowed us to mix gases without the need of an electrical supply.
No buffer tank means no solenoids and no pressure switches, therefore no electrics. Contact us to find out how this will benefit you.
What gas supply pressure will I need?
This depends upon your individual circumstances, generally we are mixing on site to suit the application. Welding typically requires
a 4-5 bar g line pressure. We would look for maybe a 10 bar g supply to achieve a good flow of actual mixed gas for your process.
However, our systems are flexible, so let us know what conditions you are faced with.
What gases can I mix?
We have solutions for all of the common industrial gases such as CO2, N2, Ar, O2, H2 & He. We can also design and manufacture a solution
for less common gases. Contact us to see what we can do for you.
What happens if I lose a supply gas?

Our gas mixers have a built in safety interlock, which does not rely on a power supply. Our pressure mechanical system looks for the ingress
of all gas supplies. If one of the gas supplies is not present, the mixer will not pass any gas.

What are the benefits of ownership?
The benefits of ownership for a BSL gas mixer are simply amazing. From the beginning you will not normally require a buffer tank or electrics.
This is already reducing your costs to own.
• Installation is simpler, less cost.
• You can use the unit immediately, no set up costs.
• Pressure/ mechanical design, no consumption of electrical power.
• Fixed calibration, no need for expensive yearly re-calibration.
• 5 year plan & re-warranty. After 5 years we recommend a refurb of the rubber materials inside the systems and we will provide you with a new warranty. (Rubber begins to decay and perish over time and in contact with certain gases)
Do you offer gas mixing equipment training?
Yes, training is offered at our factory in Rochester, Kent. Contact us if you would like more information or to book specific training.
If you have a question of your own, please get in touch and we will get back to you rapidly.
