What safety precautions should I take when using gas mixing equipment?

Gas mixing systems operate at high pressures, which can be dangerous if not handled with proper guidance. In addition to this, inert gases can be hazardous to personnel, especially in confined spaces and carbon dioxide (CO₂) can also be harmful in low concentrations.

While the dangers of handling hydrogen gas are well-known, it’s important to note that oxygen, which we often take for granted, can also be hazardous if not handled carefully.

To mitigate these risks, it is crucial to use the correct materials and clean equipment to recognised standards.

BSL Gas Technologies provides systems suitable for all common industrial gases, and we are proud to offer in-house gas mixer safety training at our headquarters in Kent. To find out more about our training days, you can contact us here.
